1. A method for publishing messages over a network using a system having a central processor, comprising the steps of:

  • creating at least one sender account to allow a sender to send messages to the system;

    receiving at a system associated with the central processor a message from a sender, the message being provided through in a first format;

    identifying the sender of the message as an authorized sender based on information associated with the message in comparison to data in the sender account using software executing in the central processor, wherein the identifying step is dependent on the first format of the message;

    receiving, at the system, a request for at least the portion of the message from a requester; and

    publishing at least the portion of the message to the requester over a network only if the software has identified the sender as an authorized sender.
